Here
at Maxx Music, we've
noticed a disturbing
number of online
auction customers
throwing away good
money on musical
instruments that
simply aren't good
enough to play. Brands that you
haven't heard of,
created by
"companies"
with no experience in
building musical
instruments are
showing up on auction
sites in alarming
numbers. We see
them on our repair
bench all the time.
These miserable
instruments were not
designed, built,
tested or sold by
musicians. Would
you buy a car designed
by someone who's never
driven one?
It takes expertise in
design, quality
materials and
professional
workmanship to create
the products you'll
find on the wall at
any reputable music
store. It
doesn't mean you have
to spend a fortune.
Considering the
quality range of a
store like Maxx Music,
with the advice of
musicians who've
played and sold
musical instruments
for many years (that's
us!), quite frankly,
you'd be nuts to buy a
no-name, substandard
instrument! Even
beginners need an
instrument that
encourages them to
play! If a G
chord can't be played
in tune because the
frets are glued in the
wrong place, you've
wasted every single
cent. Why take
the risk?
The
world's leading brands
understand that buying
an instrument is a
process that requires
the service of someone
with experience, and
that's why you won't
see Fender, Gibson,
Maton, Ibanez et al on
ebay unless it's by
some underhanded
means. They
trust their products
to a carefully chosen
dealer network.
Conversely, the cheap
no name brands sold on
auction sites will
never be seen in a
music store because to
be frank - none of us
would touch
them! We won't
sell what we don't
believe in!
You deserve better!
It brings us no
pleasure in telling
customers that their
inferior saxophone,
guitar or drum kit is
worthless and often
irreparable. Please don't become
one of those
disappointed people!
