At Maxx Music we believe that EVERYONE can sing! Singing is good for the soul, makes you happy, can improve your physical fitness and can help you feel and express all of those pent up emotions. You don’t need anything other than yourself and you don’t get an instrument more portable than your voice! Not only that, but did you know that recent research has shown that singing is a great way to meet new friends because it helps people bond quickly with each other.
Come and Sing! is a friendly and welcoming group exclusively for adult singers. We sing a wide range of songs from all eras and genres – something for everyone! Suitable for all abilities. New members always welcome.
DISCOVER THE UKULELE
THURSDAY 5 SEPTEMBER 11am-12pm

Join Arthur Ongley (founder of PHUN and MMUGs) and our friendly 11am Thursday Ukuleles Group to discover the history of the ukulele, enjoy hearing the group play some Hawaiian songs and well known popular songs, and maybe even have a go yourself! No prior knowledge or experience needed. We'll even provide you with a ukulele.

DRUMMING CIRCLE
MONDAY 2 SEPTEMBER 1-2pm

Not only are drumming circles incredibly fun and a great way to make new friends, but research has identified that being a part of a drumming circle may enhance mental health and wellbeing. Reduced anxiety, stress and tension, assisting with dealing with trauma and negative emotions, boosting the immune system, enhancing confidence, and creating a sense of connectedness and community are just some of the benefits identified.
Imagine creating different drum rhythms with a group of people at the same time. Join us for this taster session. No prior experience or knowledge needed.
