Holidays round up

So, yet another school holidays coming to an end. We have had a blast at Maxx Music!

These holidays we made singing our focus. We had two full day music workshops - Sing Like Little Mix and a Musical Theatre workshop. We were seriously impressed with the amount of talent we saw over these two days and everyone worked super hard - in the case of Little Mix, even continuing to practice throughout their lunch break!

Whilst 9.30am-3pm sounds like a long time, we assure you it isn't, and what the groups managed to achieve in this amount of time was amazing. As always, our workshops were as much about the process as the end result. For us, we wanted everyone taking part to enjoy the day and to take something new away from it. Whether this was experiencing harmony singing for the first time, learning a new dance move or just making new friends, we aimed to create an environment where all of these things were possible. The sharing of what we had been doing at the end of the day was exactly that - not a performance, but sharing the joy and hard work with friends and family so that they could experience a little bit of what had been achieved. At Maxx Music we believe that EVERYONE can sing! Singing is good for the soul, makes you happy, can improve your physical fitness and can help you feel and express all of those pent up emotions. You don't need anything other than yourself and you don't get an instrument more portable than your voice! Not only that, but did you know that recent research has shown that singing is a great way to meet new friends because it helps people bond quickly with each other.
